Glenda Bailey-Mershon is a retired educator from the Blue Ridge foothills who is working on her first novel, entitled Eve’s Garden, and editing Bridges and Borders, the fourth Jane’s Stories anthology by women writers, which will encompass work by women in conflict from around the world. Among her published work is sa-co-ni-ge: blue smoke: poems from the Southern Appalachians. Her work has appeared recently in Lunarosity and qaartsiluni. She is a former bookstore and small press owner, and has taught Women’s Studies, writing, anthropology, and political science. Currently, she is President of Jane’s Stories Press Foundation.
